Hoodna Orchestra

The Hoodna Orchestra is a Tel Aviv based 14 piece band that was formed in 2012
and was modeled in the style of Fela Kuti’s Afrobeat.

The orchestra quickly gained a reputaion and a place of respect in the Tel aviv underground and party scene.
Being located in the south part of the city, band members are naturally influenced by the people and cultures that surround them.
Eritrean, Ethiopean, Middle Eastern and Modern Arabic sounds became a great source of inspiration, and an integral part of a creative process.
This unique fusion of styles led the orchestra to become one of the most respected and sought after musical acts in Israel and they’re debut album, “Let Go”, that was launched last june, became a great success.
